We painted with water colors on a paper with painters tape in the shape of a cross. Once the paper was dry, we removed the painters tape to reveal a beautiful cross painting. These were so pretty.

Number Tracings
As Easter approached, we did lots of Easter related activities, some big and some little. One of the little ones was tracing our numbers in Easter eggs.

Spring Flowers
We made beautiful spring flowers, matching up the petals with the number in the middle of our flower. They were so proud of their beautiful flowers.

More Rainbow Fun
During our rainbow week, we made rainbows using tissue paper.

We also used sponges to paint beautiful rainbows.

Dr. Seuss Week
Reading time during Dr. Seuss Week.

After reading The Foot Book, we did lots of activities involving our feet.
We hopped on foam squares.

After reading The Foot Book, we did lots of activities involving our feet.
We hopped on foam squares.
We used our feet to push ourselves on our scooters.
We walked on balance beams.
We jumped over another balance beam.
We worked on our fine motor skills by moving truffula trees, from The Lorax, from one section to the other using tweezers.
After reading Green Eggs and Ham, we made some green eggs. Don't they looks yummy?
(They were made from green vanilla pudding and a vanilla cookie.)

With the many colors that are in the Dr. Seuss books, we did another fine motor activity by placing the colored beads on the matching pipe cleaner.
We did a fish activity after reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

We did a craft making truffula trees. Aren't they beautiful?
We read The Cat and the Hat and were very excited to wear our hats and bow ties.
We also tried to balance like The Cat.
We also did a fun math activity after reading Hop on Pop. We were given a number and a push pin and had to go find the balloon with our number on it and pop it. Lots of happy squeals as each balloon popped.

We made super cute Thing 1 and Thing 2 hats after reading The Cat in the Hat Comes Back.
I loved watching them get excited about reading the Dr. Seuss books.
