Introduction

HI Students and Parents,

Are you ready for our school year?  My summer has flown by and I’m sure that you can say the same about yours.  It’s hard to believe that it’s almost time for school.  I am so excited and I’m looking forward to teaching K4.  This year will be full of opportunities for growth, not only academically, but also spiritually and socially.  

My name is Jennifer Van Buskirk.  I grew up in Louisa, Virginia, and I graduated from Mid-Atlantic Christian University in North Carolina in 2003.  My husband, Dave, and I have been married for nine years and we moved to Hampton in 2011 so that he could plant a campus ministry at ODU.  

We struggled for five years with starting a family of our own, but in March of 2010, we became a family of 3 when we adopted our first child, a son named Nate.

 

We have two dogs, Roscoe, our "big dog", and Annabelle, our "little girl". They keep us busy and are full of love. 

This will be my ninth year teaching in a private school setting using the ABeka curriculum.   I'm excited about teaching K4 and seeing the students explore and learn everyday.  I love teaching!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you, getting to know you, and working with you as we work together to help each student succeed.
